International Award for Moore Intellectual Property

Mr Rory Moore, founder of Moore Intellectual Property, has received a 2013 Client Choice award from the International Law Office (ILO). Winners were honoured at a gala dinner held in London on 27 February.

Moore is a Registered South African Patent Attorney and specialises in patent and trade mark law in South Africa and other African territories. He was the exclusive winner of the “Intellectual Property – Patents” category for South Africa.

Established in 2005, the ILO Client Choice awards recognize law firms and partners across the globe that stand apart for the excellent client service they provide. The criteria for the awards focus on the ability to add real value to clients’ businesses above and beyond other players in the market. This year, 355 individual winners across 70 jurisdictions were recognized, and were chosen from a pool of more than 2,000 individual client assessments.

The ILO provides a multifaceted online resource for senior international corporate counsel that offers updates on global legal developments, a database of the world’s major deals and the legal advisors involved, and a comprehensive directory of firms and partners. The methodology for the Client Choice awards begins with a readership survey of in-house counsel subscribers who rate individual lawyers and law firms on quality of legal advice, value for money, commercial awareness, effective communication, billing transparency, tailored fee structures, response time, sharing of expertise and use of technology.
